What is a Service Officer?

An American Legion Service Officer is a trained, often accredited advocate who provides free expert assistance to veterans and their families in navigating VA benefits, claims, and appeals. They act as knowledgeable liaisons, helping with disability claims, healthcare, education, and social services, while offering support to ensure veterans receive earned benefits.
